Now Serving: The Oracle Coffee Co.
If you've been following me for a while now, you know that I've been running 2 of my own separate brands for the past couple of years...
-Alpha Zen Society
That's in addition to my coaching and online courses.
NOT an easy thing to do.
But also...not the most efficient thing to do when I'm in the process of making HUGE changes to this brand.
It was all running smoothly until I decided to rock the boat and focus the store here on a more Earth Friendly model, bring inventory out of Colorado and into California, and partner up with 5x more vendors.
As we shifted Alpha Zen Society last year to this new model, the demands were WAY bigger than I'd imagined.
And frankly, I couldn't keep doing both in the same way.
To stay focused and work out ALL the kinks here, I decided to take a step back from my coffee company and reevaluate my commitment to it as a project, as a brand, and as a passion.
It was sad, really.
I won't lie, it tore me up a bit.
I love it so much.
Not just the coffee but the branding and creative aspects of it.
I am a classically trained chef after all!
And as a chef, I'm a sucker for adrenaline...but also, I understand the absolute importance of working smarter, not JUST harder.
So rather than burn it all to the ground, I listened to the words of my mentors...
And chose to merge it into the store here for simplicity and maximizing my energy, attention and time.
I was running it as a subsidiary of Alpha Zen anyway.
And because I know the coffee company is a project I'll have MORE time for in the future, rather than giving up on it completely, I just shifted my strategy.
While we work on settling into our new systems and strategies here, with all the bumps and learning curves, I can still offer our amazing coffees without spreading myself SO thin.
Starting tomorrow, you will see four of our whole bean, specialty coffees now for sale IN the Alpha Zen Society store:
Juicy Bean (Light Roast)
Pairs Well With... (Medium Roast)
Morning Inspo (Medium-Dark Roast)
As these are specialty coffees, they are grown in better conditions and in smaller batches, with incredible care and attention to the quality of the finished product rather than commodity coffees that are grown to be cheap and unbalanced.
I've since shut down the dedicated online store for The Oracle Coffee Co., for now.
In the coming months, we'll make a few changes like bringing back our mushroom coffee, which was a brand favorite, and adding in some instant coffees and teas as well.
But it won't be a separate branch of energy and intense focus again until we are fully efficient here in AZS and things are running smoothly without my constant attention.
We appreciate your time, energy, patience, and loyalty to us through the past couple years!
Each one of you has not only contributed to our mission but to building our community with your love, and your referrals, and that is life-giving!!
